recent layouts

Again, I have been neglecting to post my recent layouts on here! Although, I haven't been creating as many as I would like! Time during the week just flies by, so I rarely scrap during the week. And lately the weekends have been spent working on the basement and other stuff.

This weekend I scrapped though! Not all these layouts, just the last one! The others are going back the last few months!

For a list of credits, click on each image, it'll take you to JessicaSprague.com and provide you with links to all the products I used.

Thanks for looking!

This first one was featured on the Creating Keepsakes blog a few weeks ago!! So neat! Here's a link to the blog post from May 9th. Being that I haven't submitted layouts to the magazine for a really long time, it's nice that I get recognized on their blog!

latest creative team layouts

I have been so bad about posting my recent scrapbook layouts! I am not sure why, because I love to share this hobby with people! Not to mention the countless hours I spend doing it! Maybe it's because I have been so wrapped up in finishing my December Daily album! Which by the way, I sent to print last week!! Can't wait to get it in the mail. When I do, I'll be sure to share the entire album on here!

Here are a few Jessica Sprague Creative Team layouts I've completed recently. Every week there are always so many wonderful new designs! I wish I had more time to scrap and use all of them :)

day 45 - happy valentine's day

Happy Valentine's Day!

We didn't go on a romantic date or anything of the sort! We did however exchange cards. Jason surprised me with a gift certificate to get a pedicure though! I wasn't expecting that! We typically don't buy gifts for Valentine's Day. He also gave me flowers yesterday!

My picture today is of the cookies I made yesterday for the girls to take to the sitters today. I guess they were a big hit, as they were all eaten. And the little card is something I made for Alyssa. She wanted me to make her one, since I was making ones for her and Cayla to give to all the girls they get babysat with. Any excuse for me to pull out my stamps and create something cute, I am all for it!

I was also surprised by having the Valentine cards I made using the girls photos, spotlighted on the Creating Keepsakes blog today! Was not expecting that at all! It's a huge honour! Thanks!

day 38 - be my valentine

Tonight, before dinner, Alyssa and I assembled the girl's Valentine cards. I used the photos that I took on Sunday and arranged them in this ever so cute Clothesline graphic by Kitschy Digital at JessicaSprague.com

I recoloured the clothespins and added a few hanging hearts from Echo Park's "Dashes through the snow" kit, also available at JS.com I then printed the image as a 4x6 photo at Walmart. Then comes the really easy part. I mounted the card on red cardstock and then on a blank, white card. To dress it up a bit, I tied a red ribbon at the top. Super easy!

Alyssa than wrote her name and Cayla's inside. I put them in the mailbox tonight. They'll be delivered to their grandparents and cousins, just in time for Valentine's day!

I know I haven't been here in a few weeks! What can I say...I've been busy with life :) I hope next month I'll get back on track and start posting on a regular basis and back to taking more pictures! My new Canon T2i should help with that :) So excited about it!! I got it last weekend. I haven't had a lot of time to play, but hopefully with the holiday season coming I will :)

getting in the holiday spirit

Okay, so my blog title isn't' totally true, but after working on this layout last weekend I was beginning to think more about the upcoming holiday season! To be honest, Christmas stresses me out...just a bit :) I am a planner and I need to plan out everything in advance, but with two little ones it's not always easy to plan what to buy them because they change their minds daily on what their favourite toys are! I hope to get out early to get my shopping done! I have my doubts about that too :) LOL

This layout brings a huge smile to my face! I remember this day like it was yesterday! Not only did we have the excitement of watching our first Santa Claus parade in our new hometown, but it was also the day we celebrated Cayla's first birthday! A month from today she turns two!! How is that possible?!?!

Back to this fabulous layout; which I actually started shortly after the big event, it just took me almost a year to finally complete it! I guess I was waiting for the right kit to come along! And boy, is this kit from Echo Park called "Everybody Loves Christmas" the perfect kit!! Love it!! Thanks for looking!

recent creative team layouts

I have been getting back into creating again and it's great! I will never feel caught up, but little by little I am getting memories preserved! The best part is I am always using new amazing designs from the fantastic designers at JessicaSprague.com  One the latest designers to join the store is Carina Gardner. I have used her designs back when I was a creative team member for another site, so it's nice to have her at JS.

One of her latest releases is her Coquette kits, which I used for the following layout. This layout is about Alyssa at 17 months old and her showing me all the parts of her face! Wow, it's hard to believe how much she has grown up!!

This next layout makes me smile :) It's the girls from last Halloween. Look at how small Cayla is! To think this year she wore the costume Alyssa is wearing here. For this layout I used a new kit from Crystal Wilkerson, along with her October kit form last year! Lots of fun!

recent creative team layout

How is it possible that tomorrow is the last day of September?! Seriously, where did this month go? As usual, I am feeling very behind in everything these days! One of those things is scrapbooking! I try very hard to keep up with current photos/memories, but as usual I am falling behind very quickly!

However, I was able to put together this layout about Alyssa's first day of junior kindergarten! This was one of those days I never want to forget and that I want her to read about when she's older!

Today is a fabulous day...why? I am on vacation and have the house to myself :)

The girls are at the sitters and Jason is at work! What does this mean for me? Quiet time!!!! Well except for the tunes I have playing.

I need this day to myself. It has been a crazy couple months...but I think that just comes with the territory of being a working mom. It was so much easier when Jason was at home with the girls. Life was simpler then. Sure it wasn't ideal, but at least I didn't come home to hungry, crying, grumpy kids EVERY day! We'll find our groove with the new schedule, but right now it's just crazy! That's why today they are at the sitters and not home with me. This is the first day in a VERY long time that I have spent time by myself and I really need it to get recharged. I can't think of a better way to do that then to do some scrapbooking :)

I haven't been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately, but I have completed a number of layouts as a Creative Team member with Jessica Sprague. I just haven't shared them here yet...so here's a couple months worth of layouts...enjoy!!

Creative Team layout {first Easter}

To look at these pictures of Cayla from last Easter it makes me realize just how much she has grown! She was a few days shy of being 4 months old. She was so fascinated by the grass in the basket and played with it until she tipped over the basket. And I can't forget the fact that Alyssa didn't want to share the plastic eggs with her :) Hopefully this year she will, as Cayla is big enough to do the egg hunt too!

For this layout I used Crystal Wilkerson's new kit "Happy Spring". I love all the fun, bright spring colours of these kits! If you're looking for the perfect papers and elements for your spring/Easter pages, look no further!

Creative Team Layouts

I wish I had more time to scrapbook! I know I probably sound like many of you out there. Since starting back to work in December I just don't have the time to scrapbook. I do a layout every few weeks now, instead of doing one or two layouts a week! I am part of some fabulous Creative Teams, but sadly I haven't been creating for all of them equally; which I hope will change soon!

I was able to complete a couple layouts a week ago, both were created using designs by Crystal Wilkerson! I just love her designs! Thanks for looking!

Creative Team Layout {always & forever}

Last night I was in the mood to create and this is what I came up with! I rarely, if ever create layouts about just the two of us anymore! For obvious reason...I have two little girls to create pages for! But my love of scrapbooking started long before they arrived. Back then my layouts were always about us as a couple and the things we did. It felt good to do this layout and put some of my thoughts down. Jason hasn't seen this layout yet...so I'll let him discover it on my blog! Just this morning I he was reading my blog entry from yesterday! So maybe he'll discover this entry tomorrow :)

{always & forever}

Creative Team Annoucements

I am so happy to finally announce this wonderful news!!

I have been asked to join the Creative Team at Jessica Sprague.com I am super excited about this! One of the many designers there is Crystal Wilkerson. I just adore Crystal and her designs! I was on Crystal's Creative Team last year. I am so excited to not only be using her designs, but those of the other fabulous designers too!

Here is a layout I created using Crystal's "Room Collection" papers and elements.

I am also very excited to announce that I've been asked to join the Creative Team for Jen Martakis. Jen was a fellow Garden Girl at Two Peas in a Bucket. I just LOVE her designs! So happy to be apart of her wonderful team!

Here is a layout I created using her new February kit.

Creative Team Layout

I just realized that I didn't share this layout here yet! I did this last week as part of my colour/template challenge at Two Peas. I used Crystal Wilkerson's May 365 Challenge kit for this layout, as well as her Inked Edges #3 template. If you head over to her blog right now she has a special offer that includes this kit and her latest kit {Sweet Vintage Charm}. Both kits coordinate so well together. Thanks for looking!
