Here's the layout I completed for the challenge. Oh how Alyssa has grown over the past three years, but a few things remain the same....she still prefers the icing over the cake, she doesn't like when people sing happy birthday (only Mommy & Daddy can) and she is still somewhat scared of candles.

Everything is from Two Peas in a Bucket:
Kate Teague's Cuppycake ver. 2
Crystal Wilkerson's Birthday Doodles Brush Pack
Crystal Wilkerson's The 365 Challenge {April} kit
In my layout, the background paper was originally brown and I recoloured it pink. Actually, I recoloured a few papers to be pink or a darker shade of pink. I also did purple too!
If you're a little uncertain about how to recolour your papers, here's what I do. I use Photoshop Elements 7.
- Open the paper/element you wish to recolour.
- On your keyboard press Ctrl + U to bring up the Hue/Saturation dialog box.
- Slide the Hue, Saturation and Lightness sliders to get the desired colour/effect you want. I always start with Hue and work my way down.
- Once you're done, click OK.
If anyone knows of another way to do this, please let me know! This is just how I do it. Now that I have regained this new knowledge I'll be sure to recolour a lot more papers in the future!
